Inspired by the poem “Ah, Ah” by Joy Harjo

Splat, splat goes paint as it drops from the brush

onto the canvas.

Splat, splat water drips from a broken pipe

onto the cement.

Splat, splat juice spilling from a pitcher

into a cup.

Splat, splat a friendship begins

in the rain.

Splat, splat bolts of thunder split

the night sky.

Splat, splat my fears roll

out of my heart.
