Writers in the Schools (WITS) has brought creativity and literacy to Houston schools for 33 years. WITS provides renowned creative writing workshops taught by professional authors, producing a culture of writers, storytellers, and performers in K-12 schools. We provide long-term writing workshops during the school day, aligning with ELA, Social Studies and CTE core content. WITS students develop critical thinking and communication skills. WITS teachers experience collaborative coaching that fuels innovative learning for students.
