Youth Advisory Council

DSC_0068Youth Advisory Council (YAC) creates a space for young literary minds to come together and develop as community leaders, with student led initiative as the young people take the driver seat in their communities. In its first year, YAC launched “The Flood Zone,” Zine, a summer writing competition, and WITS’ first Story Slam. All of these projects were created, designed and produced by members of YAC. WITS provides an avenue, you decide what you’re building on that street. This school year the youth will continue to drive the future of what they want to see available for themselves and their peers.
