Please join our host committee for the WITS Celebration of Story with Guest Speaker Jeannette Walls, New York Times best-selling author of The Glass Castle. This year WITS will honor Mayor Annise Parker for her advocacy in literary and arts education. The event will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2010, 7PM at the Junior League of Houston. This is sure to be a sold out event! Please make your reservations early.

Proceeds will support education programs for at-risk children in schools, community centers, and hospitals.

Writers in the Schools is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
