This weekend the Friends of the Houston Public Library will hold their Ninth Annual Children’s Book Sale.  Families and teachers are invited to have fun finding great children’s books.

The sale will feature more than 11,000 books for ages 2 to 18, and none priced higher than $2 (with the exception of encyclopedias and other sets).  All “easy” picture books as well as graphic novels and board books for babies will be $1.  Book categories include fiction and nonfiction, audio and visual items, reference materials, encyclopedia sets, books in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, resources for parents, teachers, and homeschoolers all at $2 or less. Educators need their tax-exempt ID. Checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) will be accepted. All proceeds from the Children’s Book Sale support the Houston Public Library and help provide funding for library programs, materials, and scholarships.
