Long or short.
Thin or thick.
Dresses.
I just hate dresses.
The way they’re formed.
The way they look.
Just the thought of a dress,
I want to explode.
I think of voices around me saying,
“wear dresses,
they’ll make you look pretty.”
That just makes me hate dresses even more.
I think of the first time I saw myself in a dress.
I just can’t get these horrible images
out of my mind.
I just hate dresses.

Oh, this is terrific! I feel the same way – and I feel the same way about shoes, too! Good job!

Hi Sirena, Good poem, you really know what you don’t like, don’t you.

Yeah, who ever invented them, anyway? Why can’t we all just wear pants? Life would be so much easier! Love this poem!
