Two soldiers point their guns at each other.
Do they know why?
Their mothers will never meet,
but both will cry.
Who will shoot first,
one man or the other?
What if, in reality,
they were brothers?
Both men, ready to fire,
neither ready to die.
Both men ready to fire,
neither knowing why.

    in comparing this to the one above it.. one year apart in age,, and different sexes,, i am intrigued by the way the young man humanized the war ever so much more than the young lady.. is that because as females we feel confident that the war will never be our own??? very interesting combination of pieces……
