WITS remembers Alice Hoffman, a gifted writer and a wonderfully generous young woman who passed away in the spring. Below we have posted a poem she wrote 3 years ago in the WITS program. Rest in peace, Alice, rest in peace.

I knew Alice personally and was lucky enough to have felt her warm smile. I sat around one day and her name flashed by in my phone and without hesitation I texted her to say I missed her. She was more courageous and full of life than anyone I’ve yet to meet… She impacted my life and continues to from above. I am a better person for knowing her and one day will tell how I met her to my children… R.I.P Alice your name is saved as “My Hero” in my phone!
