The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have a legacy that dates back to 1923 and a remarkable roster of past winners, including Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, and Robert Redford, to name a few. Every year, the program partners with over 100 visual and literary-arts based organizations across the country in order to bring the Awards to local communities. The Awards grants competing students with the opportunity to gain recognition for their creative talents in 28 different categories on art and creative writing. Students in grades 7 through 12 have the opportunity to earn scholarships and have their works exhibited or published! Deadlines range from December 15 to January 15. Click here for more information.
