Time Don’t Have Wings

Time don’t have wings.

That’s why it doesn’t fly.

That’s why you don’t see it

Traveling across the sky.

When you have something to do

It will pass you by.

Time ticks like droplets

From rain.

They fall inside a can.

Once it’s full, time begins

the eye
of time.
faster and faster
a red needle spins through
my head.
two black needles
spinning through my eyes
wiping away tears.
it goes tick-tock
every day
and every night
of my life.

Oh, clock,
tickey tock,
you point
at me
with your nose
on your head
and you tell
me what time
it is. Your
sound is
like when you
tap your
shoe on
the ground. Your
head is
hanging like a
picture. You can
only count
to twelve.
